Make a decision

It's two days before the end of the year and many individuals have started thinking about what goals they would like to accomplish in the new year. My goal for 2009 is to pay off my car. I currently owe $15,784.19, so I have devised a plan to be able to pay it off within 12 months. I will keep you abreast of my progress. When you want to acheive a goal, you must first make a decision and then put that decision into action by devising a plan and sticking to it. When I made the decision to get out of debt, no bells or anything went off. I just did it. I took a leap and paid $1,400 towards my debt yesterday. I kinda felt a little num afterwards, but I had to do it. I have just gotten so fed up with owing money on a depreciating asset. I feel like I have been throwing money out of the window. I vow to never get a loan again for a car or anything else except maybe a mortgage, but to be honest, I prefer to just save up and pay cash for my house...that is if I ever move again...right now, I am content living where I am. What new goals have you set for youself concerning getting out of debt for 2009?
